2009 Dierberg Pinot Noir ‘Steven’

92 points, International Wine Cellar

“Deep ruby. Sexy, oak-spiced blackberry, cherry and floral pastille aromas are deepened by notes of mocha and licorice. Supple, sweet and broad, offering intense red and dark berry preserve flavors and a suggestion of spicecake. Rich but lively, with a distinctly oaky character but plenty of fruit to back it up. Closes sweet, spicy and long, with excellent clarity and smooth, harmonious tannins adding shape.” (Josh Raynolds)
